In fiscal year 2001-2002, a total of 115 women, men, and children found shelter at New Directions Center. New Directions Center averages approximately 85 crisis calls per month. One in three women will be physically or sexually assaulted in her lifetime. 209 victims of sexual assault contacted NDC in fiscal year 2001-2002. It is estimated that only one out of ten victims of sexual assault report the crime. New Directions Center facilitated 352 educational and support groups attended by 946 people in the fiscal year 2001-2002. |
