For Shelter Staff / Level 1 Requirements: 16 years or older and completion of Level
1 Training (8 hours) Training Times Level 1 trainings will consist of 2-4 hours and
will be held on as-needed basis.
*Level II Volunteer Under the supervision of
the Volunteer Coordinator and staff, a Level II volunteer will be able to
provide direct client services. Complete Relief Shift of Shelter Manager
& provide hotline coverage. Requirements: 18 years or
older, access to a vehicle, and completion of Level II training (40 hours) Training Times Level II trainings will
consist of 40 hours and will be held 2 times a year, the Spring and Fall. Volunteer Positions Hotline Support / Level II Relief Staff / Level II We want volunteers to enjoy
their work and be able to learn new skills through their experience. The
ultimate goal is to create a situation in which both the volunteer and the
clients of New Directions Center, Inc. can benefit from the job performed. In-service programs offer
further information on crisis intervention, personal growth, and safety
planning. |
